so long time follower of oppo (since the beginning), did a few posts on the old oppo platform, but finally returning to Kinja. I'll just introduce my daily car, the very un-Jalopnik fwd little beast. She may not be the fastest, shiniest or most sideways, but that grin I had on day one is still going :)

This car has taught me so much in the past 3.5 years of ownership it is trully amazing. I went from barely being able to change the oil, to putting in a stereo, sway bars, headers, coilovers, intakes, engine mounts, valve cover gaskets etc. The spanner inside me was awakened thanks to this, and the passion that it stemmed has pushed me into my new career path (general surgery). I rarely get the time to add more things these days because of work, but any maintenance is still done by me, whenever the opportunity strikes (the last being changing fuel filters, which was a demon in this car)

My only regret is not tracking it enough. I have only been once, and now that I live about 500km from the nearest large city, such events are rare. Only dirt khana's are held in my town :(

Objection. That car is not un-Jalop at all. Quite the contrary.

Welcome back! When the RSX first came out i swore i would trade my 95 Prelude in when i had the money. I ended up getting an 04 Cooper S, but that K20 and magical 6MT were quite a combo.

I would literally (ok figuratively but I will put my love of verbal sparing to the test for you) fight anyone who calls your ride "un-Jalop".

Agreed. That's quite the Jalop car. They've always been well-sorted, fun to drive, and a great tuning platform. Don't sell yourself too short there, man!

I think your neighbors (?) from Mighty Car Mods would disagree, applaud the time you take with your car (love), and that you shared it with us. Of the many people I've read discussing all things automotive I appreciate your genuine appreciate for you car (including the blood, sweat, and grime that can come of working on it!)
